Welcome to Career Connections!

Welcome to Career Connections! This class is one semester long and is in the Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS or FACS) Department. Topics that may be covered this semester are:
  • Successful Character Traits
  • Benefits of Networking
  • Business Letter
  • Job Applications
  • Appropriate Grooming/Attire for Work
  • Time Management
  • Résumé
  • Positive Work Attitude
  • Interviewing Techniques
  • Computer Skills/Presentation
Please check this blog weekly for updates. I highly encourage you to share your personal work experiences with your student. For example, when we discuss interviewing, discuss your interviewing experiences with your student. Share your mistakes (we all make them!) and successes. These discussions will make their classroom learning much more personal and meaningful. I'm looking forward to a wonderful semester in Career Connections!

Pam Furrer, Teacher
