The goals for the day include: reporting to the lab station, completing the required steps of the activity, cleaning up the lab station, seeking initials for their teacher.
Each station is worth 10 points based upon the accuracy of the group responses and teacher initials.
HW = none
Spelling corrections, Week 24 sentences, and SSR for the first 20 minutes.
Students will continue lit circles with new groups and the expectation of creating trading cards to accompany their novel.
HW = trading cards due Friday
Wednesday Students will participate in Light Labs: Day 6 of 8
The goals for the day include: reporting to the lab station, completing the required steps of the activity, cleaning up the lab station, seeking initials for their teacher.
Each station is worth 10 points based upon the accuracy of the group responses and teacher initials.
HW = none
Journal Entry = free choice
Week 24 sentences, SSR, or other classwork for 15 minutes.
Students will receive a rubric for their trading cards to help them understand the requirements for the activity.
Groups should make a plan as to which chapters to read in class and how much time is dedicated for the trading cards.
HW = spelling test tomorrow / trading cards due Friday
Thursday Students will be in Room 1520 today participating in a light/mirror activity.
Small groups of 5-6 students will form in order to complete a series of tasks involving student cooperation, mirrors, and flashlights.
HW = none
Students will be given 10 minutes to study for their final spelling test of the school year.
The 10-word test will be given orally by the teacher.
For the remainder of the period, students will be reading chapters from their novel and working on the completion of their five trading cards.
HW = trading cards due Friday
Friday Students will participate in Light Labs: Day 7 of 8
The goals for the day include: reporting to the lab station, completing the required steps of the activity, cleaning up the lab station, seeking initials for their teacher.

Student groups will formulate a plan on how to ensure each group member will have his/her trading cards completed by the end of 2nd period.
Groups will have over an hour to finish any reading chapters and make progress on their trading cards.
